The Loire Valley: Wine, Art, History
To travel the Loire Valley is to follow a picturesque trail along France's wildest river, past vineyards and towns with names like Vouvray and Sancerre, from one glorious Renaissance era chateau to the next. Many of the chateaux, like Chambord pictured here, are not only beautiful to look at but are powerful links to history, with interesting stories that include Joan of Arc and Leonardo da Vinci.
